Two Weeks Tour

Fourteen days is the length at which Sri Lanka stops being a checklist. Ancient cities, tea country, the east coast reef, leopards, whales, and a week’s worth of beach.

Overview

14 days, 14 places, one vehicle and one guide

Our longest fixed itinerary, and the one repeat guests choose. It adds three things the shorter routes cannot: the northern ancient cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, the quiet east coast at Trincomalee with its snorkelling reef, and enough unstructured beach time at the end that you go home rested rather than wrung out.

Questions

About this tour

January to April gives you the south and west coasts at their best. July to September favours the east, and we reverse the route so your beach days fall in Trincomalee or Pasikuda instead of Mirissa.

For fourteen days, yes. Trincomalee has the clearest water on the island and Pigeon Island is the only reef in Sri Lanka where snorkelling from shore is genuinely good. It also breaks up the cultural half of the trip.

Yes, as a three or four night extension. Jaffna is a different Sri Lanka: Tamil, Hindu, palmyra rather than coconut. We will quote it as a tailor-made variation.

No. Every night has a fixed bed and the itinerary is built so you never move accommodation more than once in 24 hours.
