Why tailor made?
A published itinerary is someone else's holiday
Fixed tours are built for an average traveller who does not exist. You might want three nights in one place and one in another, or a 6am start at Yala and a lie-in at Ella, or to skip Kandy entirely because temples are not your thing. All of that is easier for us, not harder — we are already sending one vehicle and one guide.
There is no design fee, no minimum spend and no obligation. You will get a full day-by-day itinerary with named hotels and a fixed all-in price. If you take it elsewhere, that is fine too.
How it works
Four steps, about a week
From your first message to a confirmed booking usually takes five to ten days, most of which is you thinking.

Consultation
You send dates, rough budget and anything you must see. We reply with questions — usually about pace, because that is what people get wrong.

Design
Within 48 hours you get a day-by-day itinerary with named hotels, drive times and an all-in price. No placeholders.

Review
You change it. Then you change it again. We do not charge for revisions and most itineraries go through three.

Travel
20% deposit confirms. Your driver-guide meets you in arrivals, and a real person is reachable for the whole trip.

Tailor made questions
How much does a tailor made tour cost?
The same as a comparable fixed itinerary — there is no premium for customisation. Our tailor made trips typically run between £95 and £280 per person per day including hotels, vehicle, guide and transfers, depending on hotel standard.
How far ahead should we start?
Six to nine months for December to March travel, especially if you want specific villas or tea bungalows. Two to three months is comfortable in the shoulder seasons, and we have built good trips in ten days when a plan collapsed elsewhere.
Can you book our internal flights and trains?
Yes — domestic flights, seaplane charters, all train reservations and any boat charters are booked by us and included in the single price you are quoted.
What if we want to change something mid-trip?
Call your consultant. Extra nights, a swapped hotel or a dropped activity can usually be rearranged the same day, and you settle any difference at the end.
Do you charge for the itinerary design?
No. You receive the full document and price with no obligation. We only ask that you tell us honestly if you book elsewhere, so we can learn why.
