Overview
4 days, 4 places, one vehicle and one guide
Layovers between Europe and Australia, extended business trips, or a first taste before committing to a longer holiday: this is the route we run most often for people with limited time. It stays north and central so driving is efficient, and still includes two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a cave temple complex and a genuine wildlife encounter.

Questions
About this tour
Can this work as an airport stopover?
Yes, and it often does. We collect you at Bandaranaike International and return you there with a three-hour buffer before your onward flight. If your layover is under 72 hours we can compress this to a three day version.
Will we see elephants?
Minneriya and Kaudulla have a resident population and sightings are close to certain between June and October during the Gathering. Outside those months we choose the park with the best current reports, or switch to Udawalawe where sightings are reliable year round.
Is four days too rushed?
It is efficient rather than rushed, because the route stays within one region. You have two nights in the same hotel at Sigiriya, so only one full packing day.
